               REVIEW OF THE MEDICAL LITERATURE
                         REGARDING ACUPUNCTURE

Qualified to practice acupuncture by the Virginia Board of Medicine

There are increasing efforts to look at Acupuncture's efficacy from a standard
medical research standpoint.  Due to multiple factors, it is difficult to perform

'randomized, prospective double blinded' medical studies with acupuncture -
(translation - scientific study based on reliable evidence)  However, there is
growing evidence that acupuncture can be effective in certain areas.  At  the
Medical Acupuncture Clinic, Dr. Broome is constantly monitering the current
medical literature, and incorporating these findings into his practice.
