Impact of Acupuncture on Vasomotor Rhinitis:
A Randomized Placebo-Controlled Pilot Study
J. Altern Complement Med 2009 - April.
A total of 24 patients were randomized to either acupuncture
or a deactivated laser pen (beaming normal red light). Results
were measured according to a 'nasal sickness score'. There
was significant effects of acupuncture in the treated group,
which led the authors to conclude that performance of a large
randomized study was justified to further understand the value
of acupuncture in the treatment of vasomotor rhinitis.
